What a year it was. It started with a new frame agreement with Nye Veier for Construction Management and HSE in January. An important step in developing our onshore infrastructure and construction setup. During 2019, Head Energy Infra has experienced further growth, but more importantly, nurtured and strengthened their team and philosophy. Head Energy Infra now serves major public and private contractors in Oslo, Stavanger and Bergen, and we are looking forward to revealing a new step in their development in February.

Our engineering departments, Head Energy Solve and Head Energy Multicontrol, have both had a positive year, though they have experienced some contract delays and a slightly different business mix than planned. Both will finish the year with reasonably satisfying results and a positive profit margin. They are well-positioned entering 2020 with new technology, services and tier one staff. In 2019, Head Energy Multicontrol (along with Head Energy AS) was certified according to ISO standards regarding Quality Management, Environmental Management and Health & Safety Management. Head Energy Solve has concluded the Brage Energy Optimization Conceptual Study and have received great feedback and have entered the FEED phase.

In Denmark, our offshore wind team keeps gaining ground and have strengthened their brand and reputation during the year. After a slow start to 2019, they have had a busy and successful H2. Along with serving clients, employees and candidates, they have launched two new departments as well. Head Energy Connect focuses on technical disciplines towards offshore wind, while Head Energy Germany, located in Hamburg, strengthens our presence in Northern Europe substantially. In November, our Danish team also took part in the Wind Europe Offshore exhibition in Copenhagen. Great teamwork and their extensive networks made the exhibition a great success both in terms of business relations and branding.

Our Norwegian consulting unit have had twelve busy and successful months. New clients and a record number of employees have been handled very well by our teams in Stavanger and Bergen. Our team in Stavanger starts 2020 with new offices at Heiamyrå, Forus, and we are really looking forward to welcoming employees, candidates and clients to visit.

We are fortunate to have a back-office staff in Bergen, Stavanger and Esbjerg that is second to none. The testimony they get from employees and clients through our annual surveys speaks for itself, and they deserve every bit of praise. Their punctuality, dedication and eye for details makes billing, salaries, tax, procedures and IT support like clockwork.

With growth and success comes responsibility. The Head Energy Group now counts almost 450 employees in total. This means we must continually make sure that we provide exciting and challenging tasks for everyone, give proper feedback and attention on an individual level, and that we focus on social events and benefits, HSE and Quality, ethics and that we live by our core values.

Creating and strengthening a corporate culture takes time and dedication. Our goal is to further develop this in 2020 and make sure that we continue to be a preferred employer in the years to come. That we stay one step ahead.

Finally, a warm welcome to everyone who has joined the team in 2019 and thank you to all our employees for your great job and the way you represent Head Energy. We wish you all the best for 2020 – happy new year.
