Head Energy is happy to inform that Even Jahnsen has joined our engineering division as Discipline Lead. Despite the pandemic and uncertain markets, the engineering team managed to grow their client portfolio in 2020 and are now well positioned at the start of the new year.

-We are very happy to get Even onboard. He has an impressive track-record and complementary skills to our already solid engineering team, says Director for EPCI & Engineering Services at Head Energy, Øyvind Reksten.

Even Jahnsen holds a bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering from The University of Glasgow. He has a broad background from both defense and oil & gas and has worked for companies like Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace, OneSubsea, Aker Solutions and Wood.

-I am excited to join Head Energy and look forward to work in a highly competent and good organized engineering team. In my opinion, Head Energy is now established as one of the most forward thinking and agile companies in the M&M market, based on the ability to provide both cost effective execution, and engineering services, Even Jahnsen says.

Well positioned for growth in 2021

Head Energy’s EPCI unit navigated safely through an uncertain 2020 and remained efficient and profitable. The contract for a concept study for the new waste-water treatment system at Mongstad for Equinor was an important milestone. Øyvind Reksten believes his team have performed at an impressive level during the last twelve months:

-Our structure is robust, and we have increased our bandwidth through adding capacity and expertise to our core team. This enables us to deliver high-quality projects without compromising on tendering work and business development. Being awarded our first ever contract by Equinor in 2020 is proof that we are now an acknowledged actor and that our work for Wintershall Dea over several years is of a very high standard.

-For 2021 we hope to further strengthen our already very good cooperation with Wintershall Dea. The Brage platform has several interesting projects in the pipeline and we look forward to delivering tier one projects and increase production efficiency at Brage. We are also eager to continuing our development towards being a permanent supplier for Equinor and to further increase our client portfolio, Øyvind Reksten says.
